...has been a fabulous weekend. Started off yesterday when Shirin asked if I wanted to go to Canary wharf to enjoy the sun with her. Husband came home at 9am and was sleeping till 4pm so I wanted to leave him alone :-)
after pretending to be tourists for about an hour we got hungry and went to Zizzi on the the river
after lunch it was time for a walk by the river and some more posing ;-)
then we got thirsty so we went to West India quays for a drink at Bar 38 where Shirin sat on a chair that almost collapsed and I laughed so much I had tears in my eyes!!!

after the drink, that went straight to my head making me a bit tipsy, we went diffent directions. I met up with Husband who picked me up in Bermondsey as we were invited to dinner at friends, who live by the river.
After dinner we all went to La Lanterna for drinks :-) I had 2 White Russians cocktails which I haven't had in a long time, forgot how tasty they really are
The end of a fabulous day and evening :-)
Today I woke up at 9am had a shower, Husband got up and we drove to Canary Wharf for a coffee at Cafe Brera by the river, awaiting Zizzi to open at 12 noon.

After lunch Husband a fabulous idea to go on one of the tourist boats on the river so we hopped on the Thames clipper to Greenwich and then onto the City cruise for an hour of sightseeing.
then off home for a bbq and pimms in the garden
As it is our 7th wedding anniversary tomorrow, and Husband is working, we though we'd start the celebrations early with a whole day full of dates :-) Tomorrow Shirin will cook for us and we will have a nice quiet dinner at home. Saturday we will celebrate our 10th anniversary as a couple at the Oxo tower restaurant with The P's so no real need for a proper celebration tomorrow...
sorry I didn't update my blog all weekend but as you can see I have been very busy enjoying life :-) Only one small thing: have severe toothache now and will have to call my dentist tomorrow for an emergency appointment!
