Glorious Ascot

Hello there,

Greeting from a tired London! Yesterday was one of the longest and most exhausting days of my life! We had tickets to The Royal Ascot and were going with another couple and lots of their friends. We got up at 6.30am to drive to Windsor and our hotel where we had breakfast before we got ready to leave at 11.

As you can see I look really tired. The weather was not very kind to us, it rained ALL day long!!

In the end we figured it out and bet on one horse each in each of the 6 races.

We saw the first race live and the rest on the big screen. The were too many people and too many drunk people to me to feel safe and it was raining!!

I don't do festivals and I have to say going to Ascot (at least in the rain and not having proper solid floor underneath my feet) is not for me at all. Next time, if we ever go again, we will pay for the expensive tickets and be comfortable :-)

After the final performance of the mud-slider we took the train (as our taxi didn't show up at the end of the day) to Staines, had a drink in a pub whilst we waiting for Addison Lee to pick up us and drive us to the hotel. Then we took our car and drove the hell out of there!!! We got home at 22.30 and by 23.30 I was asleep.
