I decided to celebrate Shirin and her birthday a few days early, so yesterday we had a few activities scheduled. We went to the Alexander McQueen exhibition and then had afternoon tea at Kensington hotel and after the tea we went to Sky Gardens on the city.

I've been letting my nails grow this spring, which makes me feel I can't wear all the colours I normally would. I think long nails looks a lot better with light colours like beige, light greys and pinks...

We've been baking a sticky gooey cake, Swedish recipe, and of course A for to lick the bowl :-)

And I spray it with gold shimmer spray to make it a proper Swedish/Essex cake ;-)

Yesterday was spent running a few errands, having a new cleaner start, taking A to the park, doing a shoot in the park and making roast chicken salad for dinner.

Yesterday we celebrated our wedding anniversary by spending a day at Hever Castle in Kent.

But first we had breakfast at Belgique in Wanstead.

Then we drove for about an hour to the childhood home of Anne Boleyn.

Such a lovely day out and the rain missed us by a couple of a minutes ;-)

Last night was out date night. We celebrate our 12th wedding day on Sunday but decided to go out two days early. We went to Long Horn in Wanstead for dinner and cocktails and lots (maybe too much) Malbec.
