The Royal Wedding
Today was the happiest day of the year as Prince William married his Kate Middleton at the Westminster Abbey. Shirin, my mum and I were invited, not to the wedding, but to my Stepbrother and his man's for a televised celebration and Afternoon tea. The pictures I have taken are of the BBC broadcasting and aren't great but Ilike them ;-)

Dress: Vintage at Beyond Retro on Great Marlborough Street, necklace and earring: Tiffany&Co, rings: Links of London, shoes: River Island

The boys preparing for the Afternoon tea-feast :-) We had a fabulous time!!! Today has been a day of love and it should be celebrated as it is a positive thing :-)
It is also my cousin Jenni's birthday, so happy birthday hope you have had a great day...

Paris

We had a great day in Paris until I looked at our tickets

and realised my fuck-up!!! I had booked our return tickets for the 27th of May, a month form now!!!!!
We spoke to Eurostar and they said we had to pay close to 800 Euros to come home the smae night. I called Husband in panic and crocodile tears!
We decided that we need to go home that night, that was our biggest mistake! We took a taxi to Calais, a three hour journey and 440 Euros bill. My card was declined, I called the bank and Husband again in tears and in panic. He managed to pay the taxi over the phone and we could check in to the hotel he had booked for us. Took the ferry int hemorning to Dover and then the train from Dover to London and then the tube home. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong!!! In the end we had a good time in Paris and we got home safe. I had to work yesterday and I was sooooo tired. The only sleep I got was 2 hours at the hotel (woke up by my snoring mother) adn then an hour on the ferry.

Not very comfortable. When I think back, the obvious choice was to pay the 800 Euros adn get home the same night, but in panic you make stupid, stupid mistake. If I didnt know how amazing my Husband is before, I sure as hell know it now :-) He just dismissed it as a blonde moment and got us home safe :-)

The Eiffel Tower
xoxoon the train to Paris :-)
I'm not as tired as I thought I'd be. We got up at 3am and the taxi picked us up at 3.30am (Addison Lee is very reliable) and got to St Pancras at 4. Had a small breakfast in Costa and are now on the 5.25 train to PARIS :-) My mum (who is next to me in the picture looking like she has never seen a camera before) and Shirin have never been to Paris. We will arrive just before 9am and the train back is at 9pm, so we have 12 hours to do Paris, think we have enough time? Ill blogg later and probably tomorrow, have a good day
XoxoMy mum is here
and in the morning we are taking the train to Paris for the day. The taxi is picking us up at 3.30am so it is bedtime for us soon. Will show pictures when we come back. For now I'll leave you with the pictures I took today in Swarovski of the Mini Cooper car we have standing on the shopfloor.

Isn't it fabulous :-)
xoxo
Dinner's ready ;-)
was ready two hours ago and a success, Husband has requsted it for dinner again sometime soon.
XoxoCrepes
I am making mushroom-and-ham crepes for dinner served with salad and at the moment it looks like this :-)
The stuffing: mushrooms, ham, yellow onion, red onion, leek and creme fraiche

The pancakes :-) duh!!!

making of a pancake

stuffing and pancakes so kindly pose together :-)

Will show you the finished product later when it has been in the oven

Husband is home again
He came back at 4.30 this morning and then went to work at 9-ish again and won't be home until tonight. I have done some tidying and laundry. The weather has been really nice but I haven't been in the garden as I burn in the sun :-( When I unpacked Husband's suitcase I found a nice surprise

A lovely Bulgari perfume :-) We have this little tradition that when he goes away without me he always buys me a perfume. I think it is cute and romantic, but this I time I didn't expect anything as he paid for the ring I got in Swarovski. I have tried it on and it smells divine :-)
Yesterday before bed I tried on this new nailvarnish

It's the silver that is new. I just painted it over the Ocean Breeze varnish I got from Revlon and the silver dried almost immidiately, what do you think? I think it looks quiet cool, used it on my toes as well.
I believe that is all for now. I hope you have had a lovely Easter. Are you going to watch the Royal Wedding on Friday? They start broadcasting at 6am, but I'm not getting up that early. We will go to my stepbrothers to watch it from 10.30 and then have afternoon tea, really looking forward to that :-) I have a dress and everything ;-)
xoxo
Today's outfit

Dress: H&M, Tinkerbell necklace: Disney Couture bought on ASOS, watch: Casio, ring: Swarovski (bought yesterday), ballerinas: Primark
Going to run a few errands then I habe to come back home and tidy the house before Husband comes home late tonight. I can't wait, I have missed him sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!! Thank God for the person who invented Blackberry Messenger :-)
Have a good day...

A morning of shopping and the afternoon in the garden
This morning (early afternoon) Shirin and I went to Le Pain Quotidien on Marylebone high street for breakfast/lunch=brunch :-) I had a chicken salad, carrot juice and olives and Shirin had a salmon plater, yummy food.

Off to Selfridges for some make up for Shirin and a pair of earrings for me from Mikey

and a lovely ring Swarovski :-) We did go to my work for that ring, didn't buy it in Selfridge's

Then off to Kula on James street in St Christopher's place for icecream. It's a Swedish place that also makes waffles and has a small selection of food. It is a cute place :-)

The sun made us both really tired so instead of going to the park as planned, we went home and sat in the garden :-) Cheaper and so much more comfortable...

My look for the day is very Carrie inspired and summer-y

The dress is vintage and bought in Beyond Retro in Stockholm, I think the belt and corsage are both from H&M, the shades are Ray-Ban from 1995...
Happy Easter and hope you enjoy the weekend :-)
xoxo
Today's outfit and recent purchases
Yesterdays outfit consisted of a pink top from Primark and a dress worn as a skirt from Zara (bought 3 years ago), necklace by New Look

Todays look: Vintage dress from Beyond Retro, cardigan by H&M and ballerinas from Primark

This is the vintage Beyond Retro dress I bought last week and had the zip changed straight away. Going to wear at the Royal Wedding afternoon tea reception at my Stepbrothers next Friday with big hair aka the Carrie bun and high heels...

New Perfume scented nail varnish by Revlon and eyeshadow by Rimmel

I am now off work for three days in a row :-) Going to the park with Shirin tomorrow after a small shopping spree at Swarovski. Going to try the new eyeshadow tomorrow and if it isn't too strong I'll wear it during the day and will of course show you what it looks like on...
Have a fabulous evening
xoxo
Today's outfit

Blouse: Primark and skirt is by H&M. Pink is my colour, it suits me really well. I found this skirt in H&M but was never very comfortable in it until now. I didn't really know what to match it with until last night when I had a eureka moment ;-) wore it with gold ballerina's from Primark. It has been really sunny and warm today but I get easily cold and I have to wear tights at work if I wear a skirt or a dress, so today I was comfy... Waiting for my dinner to be ready. I am starving and I have absolutely nothing to write about! Hope you have a great evening. Only 6 working days left for me and 4 days until Husband is back!! And my mum comes to London in exactly a week! Lots of things to look forward to...
xoxo
Butterflies

Shirin and I kept busy today as well in the lovely weather. First we went to the Natural History Museum to see the butterflies they have there (for a limited period of time)

Had crepes for Lunch at Kensington Creperie on Exhibition road

Then took the tube to Embankment for a walk by the river and some ice cream :-)

I took lots of pictures with my new "old" camera, just need to have them developed, going back to the way it was before the digital camera :-) I have no idea how the pictures will turn out, hopefully some of them are ok. Today was a lovely day, now I am dead tired. Have already had a powernap on the sofa. I start work at 9am tomorrow so will need to go to bed soon. Hope your weekend was as good or better than mine
xoxo
My day
Spent some time with Husband this morning before he flew off to Spain for a boys week holiday of kiteflying. At around 12.30 Shirin and I went to Oxford Street for some shopping. Bought a cool retro replica camera in Urban Outfitters

It looks and feels like a toy camera. I now just need to learn how to take pictures with this camera :-) I have two films left out of the three I bought. After the camera shopping we went to Scandinavian Kitchen for some coffee, cinnamon buns and junk for tonights movie night.

And dinner of course :-)

After a long chat and gossip session, it was time for some more shopping. We went to Beyond Retro on Great Marlborough Street where I bought a dress for the Royal Wedding

next Friday (having afternoon tea and watching the wedding at my stepbrothers) and Shirin bought some new high waisted denim shorts

Tried some funky shades on...

browsing for a cute dress (I left the dress I bought at the drycleaners for the zip to be changed, will get it back on Friday)
Went to Carnaby Street

Had a Starbucks and then we went home to make dinner, customize Shirin's shorts and chat to her family at the same time.

The theme of the day was retro and vintage and I wore a Beyond Retro dress, which I bought in Stockholm last year.

Dodger is such a cute little poser sometimes :-)

The movies for the night had an 1980's thread going through them and the actresses Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall before Sex and the city

I had a great but very busy day. Hopefully I'll get to sleep a little longer tomorrow than this morning, we woke up at 7.30 :-s
Hope you have had a great day as well and an even greater evening...
xoxo
two looks
Last night after work, we went to Caffe Caldessi on Marylebone Lane for dinner with Richard and Cassa. Had a fabulous time as usual :-)

I wore a Beyond Retro vintage dress with a Mikey necklace and very old Dorothy Perkins heels which might be suitable for the bin :-S Today I work 3-8pm and after my shift we are going to Dado and Alma for dinner, busy week! I can't really be bothered to dress up today so I am wearing a blazer from Warehouse, T-shirt by Marc by Marc Jacobs, leggings by Uniqlo, Converse All Stars, all accessorise are from Swarovski except for my watch which is Casio. Nails are O.P.I Not like in the movies.

And I have a little surprise: The next two pictures are very old. The first one is from when Iwas 5 or 6 I think adn the second one is a picture of what I looked like before I move to London, I think it is from 1998-9, so be kind with your comments :-P

It's a it blurry as it is a picture of a picture but you can see what I look like ;-) It's a good fringe huh? :-)
Running late fro work, have a few things to do before I start. Have a good day people...
xoxo
going to work
and then out to dinner tonight with Husband and friends...
XoxoLunch and Shopping
Like I said before after the embassy, I went to Westfield's shopping centre in Shepherd's bush. As I was early, I went around the shops by myself before heading to Wagamama adn lunch with Alma, Danira and the kids. This is what I bought

Shampoo and conditioner from Body Shop

Dress from H&M's new Conscious Collection and a small bottle of perfume from Jo Malone

All pictures are from each company's website...
Going to watch Beverly Hills cop 2 with Husband now. I have to say I had a very nice day with the P's. Have a great evening
xoxo
PS: My Step brother was given a huge promotion today and I am very happy for him and proud of all the hard work he has put in...

Sunday
Yesterday, Sunday, we had tickets to the Yohji Yamamoto exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum and as we were early we went to the park, Queens Gate, before to lay in the grass for a few minutes and enjoy the sun.

That's the Albert monument. Albert was married to Queen Victoria.

Tried to rent a Boris bicycle each but the stall was broken. Took our money but wouldn't give a bike, so we had an icecream each instead and walked to the museum. The exhibition was very good, but small. I only go to these things so I can look at the clothes and maybe feel them.
We then headed to Notting hill and that area to see some friends of ours we haven't seen in a really long time, very sponatious. Spontaneity doesn't happen very often in London, here everything is planned in detail for weeks in advance as everyone is so busy all the time. We stayed there for a few hours before heading back home for a sandwich dinner and bed. We had a lovely but very busy weekend and I was wrecked when I went to bed and supertired when I woke up.
This is what I look like today

Have been to work and the supermarket, am now contemplating a nap on Husband's Lazy boy :-)
Hope you had a good Monday and that the rest of the week is even better.
xoxo
Karl Lagerfeld and Diet Coke
I don't usually drink Coke of any sort but when they look this gorgeous I would consider starting :-)

The three of them are out early June. Cute huh? Would look excellent in my Walk-in ;-)
xoxo
Today's outfit

This morning, we were watching Formula 1 on BBC adn by we I mean Husband and I and Dodger :-)

Friday and Saturday
After work on Friday Shirin met me for cupcakes At the Hummingbird Bakery on Wardour Street, Soho.

My outfit was very summer-y

Blazer: Primark, dress: Vintage, heels: Oasis, bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs.
Saturday, we went to Kent to have breakfast with our friends who live in the countryside. I was able to take lots of pictures of flowers, their sheep and chickens :-) There is no outfir picture as I didn't have time in the morning and when we got home in the evening I was too tired.

After breakfast we went to Greenwich market for an hour and the off to Husband's sister and family for dinner. It was a great day but very long. We went to bed just past 10pm and I fell asleep straight away and woke up at 8 this morning :-)
Going to the Yohji Yamamoto exhibition at the Victoria and Albert museum this afternoon and then maybe a Starbucks or a cupcake with Husband.
Hope you are having a fabulous weekend in the sun
xoxo
Asia de Cuba
is one of the most exciting restaurants we have ever been to, I think :-) It is a fusion between Asian and Cuban food and it is delicious! It is situated inside the St Martin Hotel on St Martin's Lane.

Our date, in the glorious weather we had yesterday and today, started at 1.30pm. We met in Piccadilly Circus next to the Eros statue. Went to the theatre to pick up our tickets. Had lunch at Strada, just outside the theatre. Saw the best ensamble performance (if that is what it is called when the whole cast is amazing) ever, The Children's Hour at the The Comedy Theatre on Panton Street with Kiera Knightly, Elizabeth Moss and Ellen Burstyn. After the play, we walked to Snog in Covent Garden where we both tried frozen yoghurt for the first time adn the walked to Starbucks as we were early for the dinner. At 6.30 we went across the street from Starbucks to the St Martin's hotel and had our lovely and very filling dinner and then took the tube home. All in all it was an amazing day and a fabulous date!!
This is what I wore

Blazer: Primark (men's section), skirt: Topshop, top: Primark, bag: Louis Vuitton

Brooch by Karl Lagerfeld for Atelier Swarovski

Watch: Police, skull bracelet: Links of London

Rings: Links of London

Nails: O.P.I Not like in the movies

Shoes: Pedro Garcia (bought in a shop called Agnes and Rose in Marylebone a few seasons ago)
and this is what I looked like today

Going to cook now
xoxo
in bed
after the longest and most romantic date with Husband I am now wrecked and need to sleep. Will updated better tomorrow after work and a visit to the dentist.
Sleep well
XoxoToday's outfit
I am feeling lazy today so therefore my outfit today is also lazy. I could get away with wearing this dress with opaque tights but as it is raining and I am only going to work, I didn't feel the need to dress up. Next time maybe :-)

Have a good day today and I hope the weather is better where you are...
xoxo
Today's outfit
On my way to work, but I watched two episodes of Sex and the City before getting ready and I got inspired to do my hair, so I copied the Carrie-bun. I don't have much hair or very thick hair so it is my version, which is toned down :-)

Dress and shoes are from Primark, mascara is from Lancome, foundation is by Chanel and eyeshadow and lipstick are both by Dior.
Hope you'll have a great day today
xoxo
Today's outfit

Cardigan: H&M, top: Primark, skirt: Topshop, heels: Karen Millen

InStyle is keeping me company
whilst I eat breakfast, cottage cheese with nuts and seeds and coffee with soy milk

as Husband is playing golf with the boys :-)
The other day when Shirin and I went shopping I forgot to show you what I bought. Dresses are from Primark (which I just remembered, I bought in Ealing with Karen) and the rings are from Topshop

This one is too short so I will wear it with trousers or shorts

£5 in the sale
£14. I think it is always better to find accessories and costume jewellery that has semi precious stones as they will last longer. When the rings are unwearable I can use the stones for something else, therfore it is worth the money :-)
Yesterday, I handed my notice in at work. Gave my manager 4 weeks notice so my last day is the 1st of May. It felt good, I feel relieved. I like working there but it is so disorganised and I can't work like that cos my instinct is to fix things and when are not allowed to that it diesn't work anymore, at least not for me. Husband told me yesterday, before work, that he isn't forcing me to work. That to me made me think it is ok to leave :-)
Anyway enough of work talk, I am off today! Going to read my magazine and then maybe I'll do some laundry unless I fall alseep in the armchair :-)
Hope you have a fantastic day and to all Mothers out there, I hope you are being spoilt rotten by your loved ones :-)
xoxo
All stars
Bought some new lipsticks today. The ones I got from Estee Lauder has a funny smell and I can't stand it so can't wear them. Lucky for Shirin :-) These from Dior smell of nothing and are very moisturizing which is good for my lips which are always dry.

Yesterday after spending some time with Karen and Jayden I went to Carnaby street and The Converse store and bought my second pair of All stars.

They were marked £36.99 but scanned at £29.99 :-) Good for me...

After work today Shirin wanted to buy some new sunglasses as we are going to PAris for a day in a few weeks and everyone who has been to Paris knows you need to look good the first time you go there and if we are lucky with the weather a great pair of shades are a necessity ;-) We also went to Starbucks and got a Strawberries and Cream frappuccino each

Well I am tired and am now going to bed to watch tv and fall asleep...
xoxo
