0Läs mer >>Last Monday was date night for us. We try to go out just the two of us once or twice a month and this time we went to the Oxo Tower.
I wore a dress by &Other Stories, necklaces by Lola & Grace and ankle boots by Next. After dinner we went for a walk on the South Bank by the river, people watching and kissing ;-)
The Oxo Tower is very dear to us as its where we went on our first date almost 15 years ago...
0Läs mer >>I'm on my way to a photo shoot and there are tons of delays on the underground so I thought I'd blog a little.
Saturdays are my day with Astrid. I take her to her Swedish school in the morning, which she really enjoys. At noon we take the bus to Soho and then, along with the tourists, we walk to Covent Garden to buy Saturday sweets, aka lördagsgodis.
As we were running late to see Karen last Saturday and I have left over sweets from the weekend before, we bought the sweets on the Sunday instead :-)
And then it's coffee time
Linda and her kids came with us and we also went for a walk to Somerset House
0Läs mer >>Saturday's are Astrids and my day together. She has Swediah school in the morning and then we usually (not today though) take the bus to Sugar Sin in Covent Garden for a bag of Saturday sweets and maybe a coffee and a cinnamon bun from Bageriet also in The Garden.
Today though we had other plans after school. But here are a few photos I took on the way back to the tube.
And right now I am finishing this day with a few episodes of Sex and the city :-) Xoxo
Photographing tons of gorgeous babies, kids and families. I took the step in august last year to become a professional photographer. I am still very new to this game and need all the experience I can get, but for the first time in my life I feel that I am actually good at what I do and I am really enjoying it. I'm still building my portfolio, so a lot of the photo shoots I have done have started off being free and then the parents were so happy with the photographs that they wanted to purchase them. Yay, lucky me! :-D fingers crossed that I get to do this for a very long time...
After all the festivities and after I drove my brother to the airport I craved a day to myself. Luckily Astrids first day back at preschool was on the 2nd of January, so I got a whole day to do with what I pleased. I ran a few errands and then I took the tube to Oxford Street and Swarovski where I bought a cocktail ring in the sale. Also bought some make up form Boots, before I got a coffee and went for a looong walk through London. It was the tourists and I all day :-D
Brick Lane two days in the same week?!? Yup, thats where we hang nowadays ;-) Last sunday we went to Brick Lane in search of food and coffee and graffiti.
On New Years Eve before the celebrations, I took my brother and family and Astrid back to The Lane where we had coffee at Cafe 1001 and the photographed some street art as well as doing a mini-miniature family shoot. but first we had to have pink cupcakes and chocolate brownies with hummingbirds on them ;-)
When my brother and his family we here we wanted to do something fun but inexpensive, so I came up with the idea of going to the Emirates Air Line aka the ski lift that goes above the river Thames in East London. As per usual I brought the camera and this is what I captured:
We obviously found a day with excellent weather and even got treated to a gorgeous sunset on the way home. East London at its best!
Christmas eve was spent at our house as usual. Shirin stayed for dinner and Seema and the boys came over for a quickie...
and Christmas day was spent with Husbands side of the family at his sisters house
It was so lovely being around family! Astrid finallly understands Christmas a bit more and Father Christmas as well. We even left biscuits, milk and an apple for him and Rudolph outside our front door :-D
I know its been very quiet here lately. I have been busy with my photography business and Christmas and New years as well as travelling to and from Stockholm for my mums birthday. Here are a few photos from a Christmassy Stockholm:
We stayed in Stockholm Thursday to Sunday and crammed in as much family and friend as possible! It was lovely, but oh so cold! I'm not used to the Swedish winter, nor was I at all prepared for it. I dressed for London... :-P
