This year will be different, but just as glamorous. I just noticed that will be wearing the same heels as last year. Tune in next year to see what I wore :-P
I thought I would do a round up, but not from the entire year. Just a few pictures from what we were up to in December.
We lit the candle for first of advent
and dressed the tree
Went for a walk around central London
From Green Park to Covent Garden
Went to see the Christmas windows and Santa at Harrods with Karen and her lovely family
Met sister in law and the family in Brighton for a few hours of family fun
I made traditional Swedish Christmas sweets for the first time ever
Gave in to wearing the onesie!
It was a busy month filled with tonnes of fun, but we are all a little bit tired at the moment and after new years eve we will chill in January. Astrid and I will spend a lot of time in the parks around us and planing playdates with her friends. We do have a few birthday to celebrate, but I think we can handle that :-P
I hope you all have a fabulous new years eve and an even more fantastic 2014!
Pictures of how we've spent celebrating new years eve will come bit later, when have fully recovered from the holidays :-D
Boxing day was spent walking off the calories we had on Christmas day. We walked in the forrest, in the mud on a field, next to the road. I think we covered almost any surface and I did have to borrow some boots form my sister in law as I was not at all prepared for a country walk with my heels :-P
Beauty before comfort used to be my motto and it still sneakes up on me every now and then :-D
Christmas day spent at sister in law and the rest of the family. We stayed for two days and had a lovely time. Just opening the presents took 3!! hours. I was sitting on the floor and in the end I couldnt even feel my bum :-) Astrid has a little friend called Charley and the two girls had such a good time, it as lovely to see :-) Family at its best!
On Boxing day, we all skipped the sales and went for a three hours walk with a visit to the local pub for drinks. That is yet another post though...
On Christmas eve the tradition is to stay in and Husband makes the turkey after he has been to the office for a few hours. This year Shirin and Seema and her boys came over for dinner and drinks. It was a lovely but quiet evening and it was all over by 9pm :-)
I got some lovely presents this year but my favourite was the Marc by Marc Jacobs watch I got from Husband...
Astrid mainly loved opening th epresents, but didn't really pay any attention to what was inside the wrapping paper :-D She is only two years old after all.
On Christmas Day we went to sister in law to see the rest of the family, but that is a post of another day.
I love Christmas but I have to say that I am sort of happy it is over now, until next year :-P
A few pictures of our activities the last few days. Its Christmas eve today, Husband has gone to work for a few hours and then we'll have turkey and more food as well as drinks and presents with some of our friends.
Merry Christmas everyone, hope you'll have a fabulous one!!
