Last Wednesday Astrid and I met up with Shirin and my stepbrother for a walk and a mini picnic in Hyde Park. I felt like doing something different and as Shirin had a day off and stepbrother was on annual leave we decided that Hyde Park would be the best child-friendly place to go. Astrid had fun, walking and exploring and we all got to chat and hang out.

We started our walk to the Palace and the change of guards. Too many tourists though...

We walked and walked and finally got to the lake and chose a tree to sit underneath for some shade, strawberries and pretzels

After a while Stepbrother had to leave and Astrid needed a nap so Shirin and I went to Starbucks and then walked back to Green Park station where we parted ways. Astrid and I went home and Shirin met up with a friend.

We all had a great day and it has to be done again!

I got home from Westfield's a little while ago. With the help from Astrid's au pair we managed to take the tube and meet up with Shirin for some coffee, shopping and a chat. When we got home Astrid had a temperature and refuses to eat. Still happy I left the house for a few hours...

I think i could have used my Sunday differently. Currently sitting at the A&E after my right big toe got caught in my pyjama trousers going up the stairs from Astrid's playroom. I fell, bent the big toe with my entire body weight pushing my toe down and I heard a crack. X-ray is done now waiting to be seen by a doctor...

Sitting at the A&E in my pjs is not a good look ;-)

Saturday last week we took the car and drove to Brighton for a day on the beach. Astrid is obsessed with stones and the beach in Brighton is covered in pebbles. As soon as Astrid saw the pebbles she sat right down and started palying with the stones, it was very cute to see :-)
